The 1960’s was a time of utmost fashion from start to finish and it changed significantly throughout the years. The early 60’s fashion followed in the 50’s footsteps, remaining conservative and traditional. A popular style for women during the early 60’s were well fitted, fresh dresses that took much inspiration from Jack Kennedy’s simple yet classy attire. Full or slim skirts were well utilized, usually above the knee, the length of a woman’s skirt often showing people how confident she was. The infamous pencil skirt that exploded during the 50’s taking a new appearance in what were known as shift dresses- which were often worn for casual attire. By the late 1960’s, however, fashion took a more modern turn, so to say. Clothing consisted of brighter colors and skirts got shorter and more comfortable.
